So I was looking at my list of Recent Reads lately, shocked and a little appalled that it's so short (though I consoled myself with the fact that it's short because I've been reading manuscripts, not books), when I remembered a title I left out! Marvel's Civil War trade paperback collection, on the ride back from the airport recently.
I have a special place in my heart for superheroes (which goes part of the way towards explaining a forthcoming book coming out by kt literary client Matthew Cody) and so I was eager to read Michael Chabon's recent New Yorker article.
Unfortunately, in much the same way that I can't respond more personally to every query, I can't respond personally to every writer I've rejected who asks for a more detailed rejection. But I can give you some hints here.
