On my reading, that is. Not, unfortunately, on my NaNoWriMo novel, which may need to wait until next year to actually count. Rexroth continues very well with his NaNovel, and enjoys reading bits of it out loud to me for my reaction. Luckily, I enjoy hearing them.
status report
I spent all day reading queries and responding, but I can finally post and report that I am ALL CAUGHT UP! If you sent a query recently and did not receive a response, please check your spam filter, and if there's nothing there from me, double-check that you didn't submit to me previously. I try when I can to resend my previous response to repeated queries, but I can't always do so.
For the moment, at least. I have read and responded to any and all queries I've received as of 3:20 Mountain Time today. If you sent me something and haven't received a response, please check your spam filter before following up, and be sure your email address accepts messages sent via gmail. Now onto my partials, where I'm working my way through -- let's see -- 37 partials and 4 fulls.
Being a writer searching for an agent is hard; believe me, I know. You put your manuscript out there and have to wait... and wait... and wait for someone to respond. And even then, you don't know -- will it be loved? Rejected? Critiqued? It's a tough game to play, but I wanted to do my little part to help explain the waiting.
While my office isn't quite this bad, even though I was on email all day for the last few days, it still feels like there's a bit of a pile-up now that I'm back.
