I’m so excited to add another brilliant writer to our fabulous roster of clients. Yi Shun Lai and I have been friends for decades now, and I’ve long admired her writing. Her previous books include the novel NOT A SELF-HELP BOOK: THE MISADVENTURES OF MARTY WU (Shade Mountain Press), which was a semi-finalist for the 2017 Thurber Prize in American Humor; and PIN-UPS (Little Bound Books), a memoir dealing with her long, ragged relationship with outdoors sports, and what that’s taught her about living in a man’s world. Yi Shun is also a columnist for The Writer magazine, teaches in an MFA program, and is also a member of an elite disaster-response team.
So I’m extra thrilled that she found time in her busy schedule to write an amazing YA novel that we’re pitching as A Lady’s Guide to Petticoats & Piracy meets Ernest Shackleton. I can’t wait to share more about it with the world!
In the meantime, give her a follow on Twitter, Medium, or TikTok!
