Charlie Ilgunas at Little Bee Books has bought world rights to An Ofrenda for Perro by Judith Valdes B (l.), illustrated by Carlos Vélez Aguilera, a picture book about how a child comes to terms with his beloved dog passing away by celebrating it during Día de los Muertos. Publication is planned for fall 2023; Hilary Harwell at KT Literary represented the author, and Aurora Barlam at Astound US represented the illustrator.
