Kate Prosswimmer at S&S/McElderry has bought Tangled Up in Luck by Merrill Wyatt (Ernestine, Catastrophe Queen). The contemporary middle grade novel follows two sworn enemies who are forced to work together on a school project and tangle not only with eccentric residents of their small mid-western town but their feelings about each other, as they embark on an adventure to unravel the 100-year-old mystery behind missing family jewels. Publication is slated for fall 2021; Hilary Harwell at KT Literary did the deal for world rights.
