Sorry for the late posting again, readers. Today was my travel day, and something about airports just sucks all the energy right out of me. Between that, and trying to get caught up on the work that piled up in the week I was gone, the rest of the day managed to slip away from me. But before I call it a night, to tackle the rest tomorrow (and ok, maybe I’ll finish reading another submission or two), a question for you: when you’re traveling, what’s your must-have travel goodies?
Neck pillows, books, iPod, snacks, sleep masks… whatever. Spill your secrets, and I’ll be back tomorrow with some Editor Answers.

I always take my iPod. Even if I don't want to listen to music, it's good for tuning out the chatty lady in the next seat. And I definitely have to have a book.
I don't travel much by plane, but I've taken some seriously long car trips. I like to take along some Kashi granola bars (the chewy kind), lots of water, grapes, and freshly chopped rabbit food. If I don't and I'm stuck eating just the salty, fatty, and sugary stuff you find at restaurants along the interstate, I'm going to feel strung out and bloated when I reach my destination.
Dramamine, good book, and ear plugs
I admit it; I can't do without celebrity magazines when I fly. They're easy to read; you don't have to worry about finishing a chapter. It's brain candy, really.
Earplugs! They help when I get seated around little ones. Which seems to be every time I board a plane.
Iphone w/ earbuds, laptop and a bag (or two) or M&M's… I never leave home without them! 🙂
Ipod and books all the way!
Cannot fly without a book or two! And some good snacks – nuts & chocolate!
Ebooks!
Across the Pacific or the Atlantic, I always carry a big black scarf. I hate the little blindfolds they give you to sleep. The black scarf blocks the light so I can sleep–and is PDC (PrettyDarnChic) when I deplane.
A new book (if it’s a real treat, I buy it in the airport. For some reason, if it’s a long trip, I have to have Grisham), water and ’emergency rations’ (snacks).
My tablet PC and my PocketPC. What else could I possibly need?
