I’m answering all sorts of great questions on the teenlitauthors Yahoo group this week, but if you truly can’t get enough of Ask Daphne!, and if you live in the Denver area, you can see me — live and in person! — at a Northern Colorado Writers workshop on Saturday, October 4th in Loveland, CO.
Cute shoes with bows to remind you of something for Jeanne, who writes, “A month ago an agent requested my manuscript. I’ll be meeting with this same agent for a pitch session at a writer’s conference this weekend. Should I send the agent an email checking up on the status of my manuscript and mention the up coming meeting?”
I left my heart… In San Francisco, of course. Or, ok, maybe not my heart, but certainly a bit of skin off my toe as my sweet little espadrilles rubbed my foot raw as I climbed up and down a few hills today. I’m in town for the San Francisco South chapter of the SCBWI’s Agent’s Day, and will be speaking tomorrow with a number of my esteemed colleagues.
I’m running around like a crazy Daphne this morning, trying to get stuff done before my flight to NYC. Contracts to mail, manuscripts to upload to my Kindle, emails to answer, and blogs to post! So please forgive this bare bones list of links, and I promise I’ll be better soon.
I’m off on Wednesday to Los Angeles for BEA and the Pitch Slam Session at the Writer’s Digest Books Writers Conference. If you won’t be in LA to pitch me, or just say hi, here’s a few more upcoming events where I’ll be speaking or meeting with authors. Hope to see you at one of them! And if you’re part of an organization that would like to speak with me about attending a conference or workshop, please email me at events@ktliterary.com.
