A Submissions Hint

| | Comments (5)

Be original! Use your book's title in the subject line, and not just a generic "query". I get a lot of queries, and gmail likes to sort them by subject, so you should want to make sure your carefully crafted, perfectly pitched query letter actually gets my attention by using a unique subject line in your email. Multiple emails with the same subject get stacked together in "conversations", and it's just that much easier for me to overlook a message. And nobody wants that, right?

Be succinct, but original.
