Thanks to all for your votes on the photo inspiration pieces. I’ve crunched the numbers (i.e. looked at the bars to see which was the longest), and the top three finalists are…
Amy W. for Photo #1
Rachel M. for Photo #2
and Alicia for Photo #3.
So, take another look at their stories and then come back here and vote on your favorite. The winner gets a 30-minute phone consultation with me (not a pitch session) to ask any questions they want about publishing, shoes, or whatever their heart desires. I’ll leave the voting up until Thursday!

Alicia's Photo short I would like to rate as, "Disgustingly Genious"

I think it could've been an interesting experiment to have the people who contributed entries vote on each other's work and see who got the most votes.
I voted for another writer on all three images-and I see she's not even among the final three. Still I loved what she wrote.
I want to say thanks to all the writers who participated it was great to peek inside your imaginations and thanks to Daphne for the cool exercise. Never tried anything like that before and it was fun. It really goes to show that when they say every writer has their own voice it's true.

Why did the names flip when I voted? That was weird.

Amy's for sure. It made me cry.
Just for the record, the names flipped when I voted, too.

Commenting on the second response from Alicia – btw, that wasn't me referring to myself in third person – Thanks! And great name!

Isn't it weird how all of a sudden the votes shot up 55 points for Amy in a matter of minutes?
I must say the voting is flawed. I have noticed when checking the tallies, sometimes you can vote more than once. I have tried to keep it fair and have reached out to everyone I know to vote. I guess it doesn't matter anyway.
I would like to know what Kate thinks of the stories though.
