I’m Back!

March 2nd, 2010 • Kate

womansBackTechnically, I was back on Monday, but I had a lot of catching up to do yesterday and today, so I feel like I’m only now back in the swing of things (Note: not my back pictured.). But I want to issue a huge round of thanks to my guest bloggers: Sara Beitia, Kiki Hamilton, Stephanie Perkins, Intern Jenny, Maureen Johnson, and Trish Doller. They’re all stars, and if you haven’t read and commented on their posts, I invite you to do so!

In additional to just the normal stuff of getting caught up after a week away, I’m also prepping for my trip to the Bologna Book Fair later this month, where I’ll be meeting with dozens of foreign editors and talking about my authors and my books. Things are going to be busy busy busy around here for the next few weeks! I’m thinking of another round of guest posts while I’m in Italy — what do you think? Do you want to hear more from my authors (and maybe a few additional guest bloggers) or do you want me to just set up some scheduled posts of my own? Let me know in the comments!

And speaking of European trips, have you seen the gorgeous cover to Stephanie Perkins’ debut novel Anna and the French Kiss? Love!

This is the kind of cover that I would buy a book for without knowing what it's about. Amazing! If I ever get one of my books published, I would love to have a cover this visually appealing!

I enjoyed how much time Maureen put into the About My Query, and enjoyed reading what the others had to say, but I also enjoy your posts, so I can concur (ooo, fancy word) with Stephanie.

    The cover is great!

I loved reading your guest's posts last week. I love your posts, too, but I wouldn't mind another week of guests. They were all tremendously encouraging and I appreciate your authors taking the time to post!

  4. Stephanie Says:

I like the cover. You can get an idea of the girl, but the man is a mystery. I like that!

As for blogs … perhaps a little of both. I’m sure you will be busy, but maybe one or two of your own. I think I most enjoyed Intern Jenny’s last week, so I wouldn’t mind reading more of her thoughts.

I was so caught up in the Olympics last week, I forgot to check yours and many other blogs. So I missed your guest bloggers.

I'll admit, I don't usual read guest blogs. I follow blogs because I like the usually blogger. But I did catch one of Jenny's posts, and would love to hear more from her.

  6. Abby Stevens Says:

I enjoyed all of the guest blogs, but I think Jenny's was especially helpful and I'd love to see more from her.

And Steph's cover – GORGEOUS! Can't wait for December!

  7. Julia Says:

    Crazy about Steph's cover!

  8. Kristi Says:

I'd love a guest post from your client Carrie Harris – she's awesome and her blog makes me laugh out loud!

I'm so glad that Anna has a head and face! One of the cover trends in YA books that drives me crazy are the photos with-the-main-character's-head-chopped-off.
