Between packing, while Rexroth and I gallivanted around town on various methods of local transportation, I read Katie MacAlister’s Holy Smokes, the fourth Aisling Grey, Guardian novel. These are just pure fun, laugh out loud, sexy paranormals. The cast of characters, many of whom reappear from previous books, are hilariously drawn, and the naughty bits are steamy. I have to say, my favorite recent romances have all been funny. Any other suggestions for me?
I know, it’s kind of crazy to read TWO WHOLE BOOKS so close to each other, but as authors who’ve been getting emails from me on their manuscripts can attest, I’ve been doing my work reading, too. So late the other night, when I should have been sleeping, I finished Curse of the Spellmans by Lisa Lutz.
Oh my god, guys, it’s December already! How did that happen??? I spent the long, lovely holiday weekend getting caught up on some tv, reading Jennifer Weiner’s Certain Girls, playing video games, and sleeping. Good times, all.
After watching the debate last night and catching up on Fringe (is anyone else watchign that? What do we think about it?), I needed to do something that didn’t require all my attention, and allowed me to curl up in the armchair in Rexroth’s office under a handmade quilt. Tribute by Nora Roberts fit the bill perfectly.
